With over 15 years of experience, Kyle is adept in all facets of the summer camp industry from leading not-for-profit, for-profit and independent camps to underserved, competitive team sports, after-school and special needs medically focused camps.

Kyle Chones applies his knowledge, skills, and relentless energy to solving your camp’s issues. A graduate of Colgate University with Bachelor of Arts in History, son of former NBA Cleveland Cavalier legend Jim Chones, Kyle began his career playing basketball professionally in the Continental Basketball Association with the Fort Sill Cavalry in Lawton, Oklahoma and the following season in the NBA Developmental League and overseas in Europe. It was during this time Kyle discovered his passion for camp, using life skills learned through the game of basketball to become a successful camping professional.

Today, Kyle shares his past camp experiences blogging  in areas of program development, marketing, logistics, capital/facility improvements, budgeting, vendor management, special events and off-season programming. Kyle has worked effectively with camp owners, directors and staff listening to their ideas and helping them implement the changes necessary for a successful camp season.
